Prosper Multi Academy Trust

Welcome from Prosper Academy Trust

Assalamu-alaikum and a warm welcome from everyone at Prosper Academy Trust. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

Bolton Muslim Girls’ School (BMGS) is a proud member of the Prosper Academy Trust family, and we are delighted to share the school’s continued success and impact on the local community in Bolton. Since its modest beginnings in 1987 with just 17 learners, BMGS has grown into a highly successful and oversubscribed school, now serving over 750 learners. The school has a rich heritage spanning more than 35 years.

As a faith-based academy within our Trust, BMGS upholds an ethos rooted in Islamic principles while actively promoting British values. The school’s core values, faith, aspiration, respect, honesty, good manners, tolerance, resilience, and kindness, are woven into its daily life. Visitors frequently comment on the school’s distinct and nurturing atmosphere, where high standards of conduct and character are evident throughout.

At Prosper Academy Trust, we are committed to supporting BMGS in its mission of ‘Success for All’, ensuring that every learner receives the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to achieve their full potential. This commitment was recognised in the recent Ofsted inspection (March 2025), where the school was judged Outstanding for Behaviour and Attitudes and Good overall. As Ofsted noted, “The school commits to raising pupils’ aspirations and achieving success. Pupils are knowledgeable about future education and training opportunities.”

We are particularly proud of the school’s ambitious curriculum, described by Ofsted as “high-quality, broad and aspirational.” Through ongoing investment and site development, including upgraded Design and Technology facilities, we work closely with BMGS to ensure the learning environment continues to inspire and equip pupils for life in a rapidly changing world.

The wellbeing and happiness of learners remain central to BMGS’s approach. Pastoral care is a strength of the school, ensuring that learners feel safe, valued, and supported, reaffirmed by Ofsted’s observation: “Pupils are happy and feel safe in this very welcoming school. Staff care deeply for pupils’ well-being and safety.”

Prosper Academy Trust recognises that education thrives when there is a strong partnership between learners, parents, staff, governors, trustees, and the wider community. We value the crucial role parents and carers play in shaping their child’s success, and we are proud of the collaborative ethos that characterises BMGS.

As a Trust, our role is to enable our schools to deliver the very best education, ensuring that learners leave with the knowledge, skills, and character to succeed in an increasingly complex and competitive world.

We warmly invite you to discover more about Bolton Muslim Girls’ School, and if you are considering it for your child, we encourage you to visit, meet the staff and learners, and experience the school in person.
